About the team

The Merchant Solutions enterprise architecture team are a global team of enterprise architects and enterprise solution architects within the Chief Technology and Digital Office. We are focused on providing enterprise-wide architecture consulting services in support of a series of game changer initiatives that will deliver on FIS transformational vision.

What you will be doing

You will be accountable and responsible for one or more business domains including collaborating with enterprise architecture, portfolio management, product and engineering in defining business capabilities, application suites and applications that support these plus any inter-domain dependencies and technology components required to deliver these. This will include supporting the system architecture function within Engineering for the most complex IT projects.

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Plans Architecture Runway for a Domain or Multi Train Solutions

  • Collaborate with portfolio stakeholders, customers, suppliers, ARTs, and Solution Train stakeholders to align the architectural direction

  • Creates solution vision and solution roadmap at conceptual/logical level Ensure alignment of solutions to all FIS standards, policies, procedures including governance, compliance, and security

What you bring:

  • Experience operating in an agile environment, using the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)

  • Experience of operating as a Solution Architect in medium to large enterprises

  • 8 years of related experience with a bachelor's degree; or 5 years and a master's degree

  • Deep expertise across technology domains (Applications, Data, Infrastructure, Operations and Security)

  • Analytic/creative problem-solving skills

  • Facilitation of workshops involving cross-functional stakeholders

  • Communication & co-ordination Skills

  • Ability to visualise complex issues

  • Ability to speak and present to large groups of people

  • Excellent project & stakeholder management

  • Ability to speak and present to senior leadership (CIO / CTO / CSO etc)

  • Fluency in most IT business architecture areas including business process design and governance

Added bonus if you have:

  • Background in the Payment Card Industry

  • General understanding of Enterprise Architecture frameworks (e.g. TOGAF, Zachman, etc.)

  • Operating knowledge of the Ardoq Enterprise Architecture Tool
