This role is part of Indeed's global Social Impact team, which sits within the company's new Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) organization. The ESG organization is working toward an ambitious set of long-term goals to improve the lives of job seekers and workers globally and reduce Indeed's environmental impact on the planet. This includes a commitment to help 30M job seekers facing barriers to employment find jobs by 2030. The Social Impact team drives Indeed's global efforts in support of this and other key ESG goals that promote inclusive hiring and greater economic opportunity through Indeed's platform, partnerships and initiatives in our communities.
As an Engineering Manager on Social Impact you will provide hands-on leadership for a team building and enhancing products and systems to achieve a more inclusive and equitable future for millions of people around the world. As our engineering organization grows, you will help ensure we keep the talent bar high, and grow the skills and capabilities of your team. Who You Are
5+ years experience in software engineering or equivalent skill set, building and maintaining large scale, accessible systems
Experience in managing software development with a consistent track record of on-time delivery
Experienced in leading a team of software engineers, hiring, performance management, and career coaching
Practiced in the agile software development life cycle
Understanding of measuring reliability through SLAs/SLOs and driving a culture centered on operational metrics
Have a passion for using data to make decisions and helping others to do so
Able to collaborate effectively and act as a strategic partner in product decisions
Thrives in growing teams and organizations
Fosters an inclusive culture
Passionate about helping job seekers who are facing barriers find employment that is rewarding and sustainable
