Your new role
You will be implementing support Care Plans & post care proceedings to ensure children & young people are supported in having their needs met & risks continue to be managed to safeguard them. You will be building relationships collaboratively to help children & young people to achieve their goals through outcome focus. Manage a caseload that includes complex and diverse cases, involving assessments, reviews, and the preparation of reports. You will be achieving this by working part of a team while contributing to the development of the service. Type of environmentA committed and supportive team based in Monmouthshire who work with children including Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children. Working alongside other services and teams to ensure a holistic approach to care planning for our children, young people, and families. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic social worker to join a dynamic team. What you'll need to succeed
- Registered with the Care Council for Wales
- Degree in Social Work (Dip SW, CQSW)
- Ability to empathise
- Basic knowledge of Welsh (desirable)
- Calm demeaner in a crisis
- Child focussed approach
- Pre or post qualifying experience in Childcare
- Demonstratable experience working with a multi-disciplinary team (preferred)
- Access to own travel
