This entry level grant-funded position requires assisting the PI, and independently. Duties include ordering lab supplies, routine laboratory maintenance, assisting the PI and dental/undergraduate students with moderately complex molecular and cell biology procedures and experiments, confocal microscope imaging, and managing cell cultures (after training by PI). The technician will also input data, assist with analyses, and conduct library research.
Associates degree in related field of Science required;
Bachelors Degree in related Science field preferred;
0-1 years research lab experience
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Understanding of research methods, laboratory techniques, and care of laboratory equipment;
Ability to interpret data, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues;
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Excel; PowerPoint and Outlook;
Strong work ethic, excellent written and communication skills, and the ability to work independently;
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays depending upon research needs
